The Governing Body has a maximum of 13 Governors who are very conscientious and diligent and who take their responsibilities very seriously. They are not paid and they do not receive any expenses. They all freely and voluntarily give their time and effort to the school. The Diocese of Lancaster (Foundation) appoints seven of the Governors. They come from a variety of backgrounds and they bring many different skills and experiences to the school.

Welcome from our Chair of Governors
Dear Parents and Friends,
On behalf of all the Governors, welcome to Holy Family Catholic Primary School.
As governors, we are here to work as a team with staff, parents and children to build on the firm foundation we have, in a setting that allows for growth spiritually, morally, socially, culturally and intellectually, while always working to maintain and increase the high standards our pupils achieve and the ethos of the Catholic faith in both the school and the wider community.
Our role as governors means we are involved with all aspects of the school’s life including finance, pupil welfare, building/grounds maintenance and staff appointments to name but a few. Also it is important as governors that we look at planning for the future and that these plans are both strategic and realistic.
I feel privileged to have been elected the new Chair of Governors and leading a team who work hard sharing their various skills to guide the school forward.
All the governors try to attend school events, so please come and have a chat.
Yours sincerely,
Linda Forster
Chair of Governors
