Climate Action
In 2015, Pope Francis wrote his letter 'Laudato Si', in which he called upon all mankind to be 'Stewards of the Earth'. Pope Francis calls upon us all to look after our planet and respect nature.
Here at Holy Family, we are trying be as sustainable as possible.
- As bulbs go, we are replacing our lighting for more efficient LED lighting.
- We have upgraded our boilers this year.
- We now have recycling stations around school for paper, co-mingle and food waste.
- We are leaving an area of our school grounds and planting wild flower seed to be a wild area to encourage local bio-diversity.
- We are running fair trade treats sessions.
- We have turned our heating down by 1oC
- We have replaced our lighting system for more efficient LED lighting
