Catholic life and mission of school
We are a Catholic school. Everything thal happens here is informed by Gospel values and the teachings of Jesus.
Holy Family Catholic Primary School is a loving community, where all are treated with respect. where the teachings of Jesus underpin all that we do and teach, and where the presence of God is reflected in our daily routines.
Our aim is to provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment in which each child's uniqueness is celebrated and where they grow with Jesus as their example.
We put Jesus at the centre of everything we do, as we reach out to serve and celebrate the needs of our community. Our mission statement 'Love one another as I have loved you' is evident through all that we say and do.
Our dedicated staff work together and is a key factor in maintaining our excellent standards; we want our pupils to learn, to grow and to be inspired by the Gospel values, so that they can reflect God's love in their everyday lives.
Gospel values are understood and evidenced in policies and procedures of the school. Scripture is read everyday through whole school worship or child-led classroom worship. This impacts significantly on learning and the life of the school. The behaviour of pupils is good and often outstanding.
First Holy Communion
Our First Holy Communion Candidates did us proud on Sunday as they made their Sacrament. They were respectful and reverent and looked very smart!
Crowning Mary
Suzie proudly led her retinue to crown Mary, the mother of Jesus and of our church. The children highlighted the importance of Mary in our faith.
